KTTV, Channel 11 in Los Angeles, CA, is one of several US television stations owned and operated by News Corporation, and is the West Coast flagship station of the Fox Television Network.
Though originally owned by CBS and the Los Angeles Times, KTTV became one of the most successful independent stations in the US. In 1986, KTTV (along with several Metromedia-owned stations) became charter Fox affiliates.
Today, KTTV (as well as its New York sister station, WNYW) can be seen via DirecTV and Dish Network satellites in many parts of the United States.
