A bassoon player with Zappa who is variously credited as: JoAnn Caldwell, JoAnn McNab or JoAnn Caldwell McNab
She recorded One Shot Deal, Orchestral Favorites, The Grand Wazoo, Wazoo and Studio Tan.
Married to Malcolm McNab she toured with The Mothers in the 'Wazoo' incarnation playing bassoon and/or contrabassoon. She later went into teaching. Their daughter is also a musician.[1]
