The Murmaids were a U.S. girl group, active between 1963 and 1968. In 1964 they scored a hit song with Popsicles & Icicles, which hit number three in the U.S. Billboard. The song was produced by Kim Fowley on the Chattahoochee label.
In 1978, during the interview Zappa Digs Sabs Shock!, Zappa said that he liked Popsicles and Icicles by The Murmaids.
