Jeepers is name-checked on the cover of "Freak Out!" (1966) under the heading "These People Have Contributed Materially In Many Ways To Make Our Music What It Is. Please Do Not Hold It Against Them". Character in a few songs FZ produced in Studio Z: Dear Jeepers (Dracula writes a thank you letter to Jeepers; some of the background laughs were used in the regular shows), and Letters from Jeepers (Jeepers writes back to Dracula), by Bob Guy (a B-movie talk show host).

Out of the darkness of KCOP 13 Los Angeles on September 12, 1962, came the figure of Horror known as Jeepers' Creepers. Every Saturday night at 10:00 the magic occurred. The eerie music... his instantly recognizable voice... along with, Boris, Doris, Pumpkin, Horatio, Alexander... Bob Guy and Jim Sullivan are the people who created Jeepers.
