Bobby Jameson (misspelled "Jamieson") is name-checked on the cover of "Freak Out!" (1966) under the heading "These People Have Contributed Materially In Many Ways To Make Our Music What It Is. Please Do Not Hold It Against Them".

Bobby Jamieson could be the stomping and shrieking Scottish folk fiddler, or he could be Robert "Bobby" Jamieson the famous Canadian lacrosse player in the Fourties (lacrosse is the oldest team sport in North America, having been played by Native American tribes long before any European had even set foot on the continent).

In FZ' world, he's probably none of the above... but rather an LA freak who appeared in Mondo Hollywood. FZ arranged both sides of his Gotta Find My Roogalator / Lowdown Funky Blues (Penthouse 503) single in 1966. At least two of his 45s were regional hits, garnering airplay on Cleveland, Ohio and Detroit, Michigan stations. The biggest, "All I Want Is My Baby / Each And Every Day" (London 9730) from 1965, was backed by The Rolling Stones. Jameson also recorded an album, "Songs Of Protest And Anti-Protest" under the pseudonym Chris Lucey.
