Frank Zappa and Lene Lovich

When Zappa was Fraudulent DJ on BBC Radio 1's musical show Star Special (27 January 1980), the 12th track he gave airplay was Lene Lovich's Lucky Number. Interviewed by Barry Alfonso for Songwriter (June 1980), Zappa commented on her:

"I like 'Typical Girls' by the Slits, stuff by the Buzzcocks, one or two songs by the Police. I think one of the best records of last year was 'Lucky Number' by Lene Lovich. It's a good song, it has a fantastic arrangement and her singing is great." [1]

Lene Lovich is also mentioned and thanked in the liner notes of The MOFO Project/Object (2006) album. [2]
