Phyllis Altenhaus
Phyllis Altenhaus (a.k.a. Phyllis Smith) is name-checked - as "Fyllis" - on the cover of "Freak Out!" (1966) under the heading "These People Have Contributed Materially In Many Ways To Make Our Music What It Is. Please Do Not Hold It Against Them".
Several sources claim that she was the secretary of Tom Wilson, FZ's first producer, and who are we to doubt this?
She certainly was the "monster victim" in and film editor of the "Uncle Meat (The Film)" video (1987) in which she plays "herself" and Sheba Flieschman; parts of her contribution to the video can be heard on the "Uncle Meat" album (1969).
She also appears in "Video From Hell" (1987) and "True Story of 200 Motels" (1989).
She contributed to "Woodstock" (1970, editing) and "New York, New York" (1977, assistant editor).
She is supposedly Mike Keneally's favorite actress.
