Jerry Falwell (1933-2007) was an American preacher and televangelist, notorious for his ultraconservative viewpoints and opposition against atheists, homosexuals, feminists and supporters of abortion.
Zappa mentions him in his Strawberry Fields Forever parody (see Texas Medley).
