Jackie & The Starlites were an American doo-wop group, best known for their song, "Valerie" (1960) (sometimes written as "Valarie"). Zappa covered "Valarie" as the final track on Burnt Weeny Sandwich.
He also played the song on KPPC, Pasadena, CA 27th November 1968, and on KMET, Los Angeles, CA (Dr. Demento Show) 17th May 1981.
