Jim Gordon, born James Beck Gordon in 1945, Los Angeles, CA, is probably best known for co-writing "Layla" with Eric Clapton. Jim was a major reason the Grand and Petit Wazoo tours were as good as they were... Gordon was one of the most popular session drummers throughout the 70's. Legend has it that Jim was busted for coke right before the Grand Wazoo Band went on stage (FZ grabbed the drummer from the other band, which remains nameless and he did fine; Gordon paid off the P.D. ($20,000) and it was forgotten). His story is one of the tragedies of our time; anyone who has ever wondered about the destructive horror of "recreational" drugs and schizophrenia should know about Jim - last reported to be housed at Atascadero, a prison/asylum in California, for killing his mother (believing she was some sort of "demon" trying to get him) by means of repeated blows with a hammer.

Jim Gordon provided drums for Apostrophe (') and Läther.
