Background Information

Larry LaLonde is an American guitarist for the band Primus. Lalonde said he wanted Primus to be a cross between Zappa and Dead Kennedys and that he thought Zappa was one of the greatest guitarists that ever lived: "My favorite guitar player ever is Frank Zappa. When I think of what makes a good guitar solo, Zappa's playing is the thing I think of. It's the ultimate example of how a guitar should sound."[1] He chose his favourite Zappa compositions and songs for this album.

Primus band mate Les Claypool commented on Zappa: "I really appreciate anybody who has any type of signature, whether it’s a guitar player or somebody who makes pancakes.
