David Lynch (January 20, 1946 - January 16, 2025) was an American film director, most famous for his surreal and disturbing movies that acquired him a cult following, like Eraserhead (1977), Blue Velvet (1986) and Mulholland Drive (2001). He also made more accessible movies like The Elephant Man (1980) and Dune (1984) and the strange cult TV series Twin Peaks (1990-1991). Lynch was also active as a music video director, actor, painter and comic artist.[1]
