Charles Swenson (28 March 1941) is an American animator, film producer and director.
Biography
He directed the animated intermezzo during Dental Hygiene Dilemma and Does This Kind Of Life Look Interesting To You? in 200 Motels (1971), based on designs by Cal Schenkel.
Later Swenson directed the cult film Down and Dirty Duck (1974), which featured the voices of [[[Flo & Eddie|Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan]]. Aynsley Dunbar provided additional voices and Janet Ferguson sang "Kama Sutra Time".
In his later career he was notable for directing an animated short based on Puff the Magic Dragon (1978) and writing the script to Don Bluth's An American Tail: Fievel Goes West (1991). Swenson was creative and executive producer on such TV series as Rugrats (1991-1994, animated by Klasky-Csupo) and Mike, Lu & Og (1999-2001).
