John Zacherle (sometimes credited as "Zacherley") (°September 28, 1918) is an American TV and radio presenter, best known for broadcasting shows involving horror and horror movies. He portrayed a character named "Roland/Zacherley" in the show "Shock Theater" (1957-58) and "Zacherley at Large" (1959-60) and recorded the novelty horror single "Dinner With Drac" (1958).
Zappa's collaboration with Bob Guy spawned two musical singles named Dear Jeepers and Letter From Jeepers, directly inspired by Zacherle's song.
He can be seen on the album cover of We're Only In It For The Money. [1]
Zacherle also announced Zappa's concert at the Passaic NJ US Capitol Theatre on Halloween, 1972.
