The Orchids were an American doo-wop band from Chicago, with Gilbert Warren (lead vocals), Buford Wright (bass), Robert C. Nesbary (second tenor) and Charles Williams as members. They scored a hit with "Newly Wed" (1955)

Frank Zappa called "Newly Wed" by The Orchids one of his favourite R&B songs and mentioned it during Faves, Raves And Composers In Their Graves.
