Tony Bennett (August 3, 1926 - July 21, 2023) is an American jazz crooner of Italian extraction. His most beloved hits were Because of You (1951), Rags to Riches(1953), I Left My Heart In San Francisco (1962), I Wanna Be Around... (1963) and The Good Life (1963). Later in his career, he became a popular Las Vegas entertainer.
Bennett has performed and recorded with Count Basie, Armond Kaproff, Lady Gaga, Ed Palermo and Amy Winehouse. He is also notable as the first celebrity guest voice in The Simpsons.
Bennett was also active as a painter, using his real name Anthony Benedetto.
