The Chieftans, or at least a few of them, played at the Friday "soirees" at zappa's home in february 1993, along with other 'guests' like Terry Bozzio, L. Shankar, Johnny "Guitar" Watson, and the Tuvan Throat Singers. One of these parties is featured in the A&E Biography and the BBC Special on FZ. 8 of the 12 tracks for The Chieftans "The Celtic Harp" were recorded at UMRK - Zappa contributed uncredited. From the liner notes: "a most memorable session with our Celtic cousin, Mr. Tom Jones, recorded at the Zappa's residence under the bemused and watchful eye of Frank himself. In memory of Frank Zappa."
