Started performing by singing at the local Fiesta in [[Claremont]].  Performed with [[Ronnie And The Casuals]]. Discovered by FZ (who she described as "a very nice man") at the [[Ontario Music Center]]. On first hearing her sing FZ told her that he "saw dollar signs".  She had a brief teenage career recording and performing locally, sometimes using the name [[Gina Terry]].  Although she was not really interested in pursuing a career in the commercial music business she would continue to perform locally in non-commercial events such as with church choirs.
