Y Tu Mamá También
Y tu mamá también (English: And Your Mother Too) is a 2001 Mexican road film directed by Alfonso Cuarón and co-written by him and his brother Carlos. It stars Mexican actors Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal and Spanish actress Maribel Verdú. Zappa's Watermelon In Easter Hay over the end credits. It was included on the soundtrack with special permission by Gail Zappa, even though Zappa's will stated that the song may never be used on any album except Joe's Garage.
"We owe so much to Zappa," Alfonso Cuaron says in the press notes. The script was written with endless repetitions of one of Frank Zappa's most famous songs, Watermelon in Easter Hay. "The tone of that song is the mood we were aiming for." There's a sense of fearless artistic adventure in Zappa's music, as well as rude fun. The film runs on the same fuel. [1]
