Harry Chapin (7 December 1943 - 16 July 1981) was an influential American folk and pop rock singer and guitarist.
In the article Frank Zappa: 'Frenk! Frenk! Ees Aynsley playeeng?', 5 October 1974, Zappa said that he liked Chapin's W.O.L.D.. Interestingly enough Chapin played at the Capitol Theatre in Portchester, New York, on 26 October of that same year, while Zappa played at the same venue only a week later on 8 November.
