Born as Johan Verner Ölund Warner Olande (October 3, 1879 - August 6, 1938) was a Swedish dilm actor who became world famous for his portrayal of detective Charlie Chan in the 1930s.
He can be seen on the cover of Tinsel Town Rebellion.
A well known Zappa quote, "The mind is like a parachute. It can function if it's not open.", was also uttered by Oland in "Charlie Chan at the Circus" (1936).
