Tom Wilson was a record producer in the Sixties. He first worked for Columbia Records, then went to Verve Records. He has produced records for Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, and The Velvet Underground. He signed The Mothers Of Invention to Verve Records in 1965/1966, and was credited as producer on the groups seminal debut album "Freak Out!" (1966) although it is widely believed that FZ did most of the real production work.

Tom Wilson died of a heart attack on 9/6/1978 at the age of 47. Wilson also Absolutely Free, and We're Only In It For The Money for FZ, and appeared in the FZ movies Uncle Meat & Video From Hell.
