Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery
Look! Nobody in his right mind believes for a minute that an artist makes more money than a record company.
It's just not stacked up that way.
If Michael Jackson sells 30 million units and makes an enormous amount of money, the record companies make 10, maybe 20 times more.
The artist doesn't make more money than the company, he's getting a p[art]- a corner of the action, the money goes to the company... the company is the bank.
So any legislation that is involed in this is not sticking the money directly into the artist pocket.
If he winds up of it a tidbit, it's gonna be amazing, and he's gonna have to struggle for it.
Because the companies themselves can't even agree on how the pool be divided up between them.
