The Basooties were an American rock band, active during the late 1960s.

They released You Didn’t Try To Call Me as the B side of their first single (the A side being Curtis Mayfield's "I'm So Proud") on Muffin Records (TEA 0001) in 1967.

They later signed to Straight Records but did not produce an album.
