Leonard Allen, name-checked on the cover of "[[Freak Out!]]" (1966) under the heading "These People Have Contributed Materially In Many Ways To Make Our Music What It Is. Please Do Not Hold It Against Them", was a boyhood friend of FZ, when he was living in [[Edgewood]] (15 Dexter Street), [[Maryland]]. Allen was equally interested in chemistry, and FZ used to go over to his place to work on "experiments". He is also mentioned "[[The Real Frank Zappa Book]]" (1989).
