On a number of occasions FZ took on the role of 'Fraudulent DJ', and aired his favorite music selections on radio stations. One such appearance was on radio station KPPC, Pasadena. KPPC-FM had studios in the basement of the Pasadena Presbyterian Church, (hence the 'PPC'), and jingles for the station were sung by The Persuasions.

In November 27, 1968, the station's DJ, Les Carter, interviewed FZ and aired some of his favorite playlist, including what are now 'golden oldie' singles.
FZ also dedicated a record to the new Mothers' induction of musicians, Lowell George and Buzz Gardner;
