Jim Pons (Santa Monica, California, 14 March 1943), was an American bass guitarist and singer. He played bass as a member of The Leaves and The Turtles prior to joining The Mothers in the Spring of 1971.

Jim provided bass and vocal for Fillmore East, June 1971, Frank Zappa's 200 Motels (vocal only), Just Another Band From L.A.,You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore Vol. 1, You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore Vol. 3, You Can't Do That On Stage Anymore Vol. 6, and Playground Psychotics; also for the Beat The Boots series disc Swiss Cheese/Fire!
