John Symon Asher "Jack" Bruce met, and jammed, with FZ due to mutual friend Jim Gordon. The jam took place in September, 1972, at Electric Ladyland Studios, NYC with FZ, Jack, Tony Duran (rhythm guitar), and Jim Gordon (drums). The result of this jam: Jack provided bass for the title song on Apostrophe (').
