Harry S. Truman (1888-1972) was a politician of the Democratic Party who was Vice-president of the United States under President Franklin D. Roosevelt (1945) and after Roosevelt's death President of America from 1945 until 1952. Under his administration his Marshall Plan helped to rebuild Europe economically and socially after World War II. He also signed the Truman Doctrine which allowed the United States Of America to interfere with other countries in need. Truman's foreign policy was predominantly concerned with the fight against international communism, including the Korean War (1950-1954).

His face can be seen on the cover of We're Only In It For The Money, near the left behind the man with the white cowboy hat.

In The Lost Interview Zappa claimed that he considered Truman to be the best modern President of the United States.
