Born: 06/18/1938, Pasadena, CA; Died: 11/30/1999, South Los Angeles, CA. From 1957 until about 1967, Don Harris and Dewey Terry performed as the duo "Don & Dewey", releasing various singles on Specialty Records. In the late sixties, "Sugarcane" Harris started playing with - and doing sessions for - various artists; in 1969, longtime Don & Dewey fan Frank Zappa got Don to join his band. "Sugarcane" provided violin and/or vocal for Hot Rats, Burnt Weeny Sandwich, Weasels Ripped My Flesh, Chunga's Revenge, Apostrophe ('), and The Lost Episodes.
