dEUS is a Belgian alternative rock group, active since the early 1990s.
Zappa references
On their single, "Zea" (1992), a sample of The Blimp from Trout Mask Replica can be heard.
The first notes of Little Umbrellas were sampled on "W.C.'s First Draft" on dEUS' Worst Case Scenario album (1994).
The group's lead singer, Tom Barman, claims he has respect for Zappa's musical talent, but actually likes Captain Beefheart more.
