152 Bleeker Street, Greenwich Village, New York, New York. Famous venue for music. Owned by Howard Solomon. He and Lenny Bruce were arrested and charged with obscenity in 1964. It had the Garrick Theater on the floor above it.

"We did a couple of nights at the Cafe Au Go Go. I remember that because Zappa and The Mothers were in the upstairs bit, the Garrick Theater... I sat in with them once and I think Jimi may well have too..."

Mitch Mitchell in The Hendrix Experience by Mitch Mitchell & John Platt, Pyramid Books, 1990.
