Sherwin Tilton (October 22, 1952 - August 28, 2008) was an American photographer.

Sherwin David Tilton was born in 1952 in Riverside, California. He studied Photography and Cinematography at Riverside Poly High School, Riverside Community College and Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles.

Frank Zappa

Tilton's photo of Frank Zappa on stage was used as the cover for Roxy & Elsewhere (1974). Another photo by Tilton of Zappa was used as the cover of Roxy By Proxy (2014). The original prints of these photos were auctioned in 2016, after Zappa's former home in 7885 Woodrow Wilson Drive was sold.
