Jun Shimoyama (b. 19 May, 1959) was guitarist of the Japanese rock band The Roosters (1979-1988), a group who mixed punk, blues-rock, ska and rock and roll. He later played with Shigeru Izumiya and Hoppy Kamiyama and, between 1998 and 2015, the Tetsujin Band. Since 2001, he plays in the group Rock 'n' Roll Gypsies.
Shimoyama is also active as record producer.
In 1999, Shimoyama compiled his favorite Zappa tracks and released them as the CD Jun Shimoyama Ex The Roosters Meets Frank Zappa.
