Brain Police
Zunou Keisatsu (Brain Police) was a Japanese rock band, who were active from 1968 until 1975. They were founded by lead singer and guitarist Haruo "Panta" Nakamura. Other members are Toshi Ishizuka (drums, congas, bongos) and Hiroshi Nar (guitar). The group was known for their radical political statements. In the course of their career they released six records. Their debut album was banned because it featured an infamous criminal on the cover, dressed as a security guard to achieve his heist.
The band's name "Zunou Keikatsu" is a literal Japanese translation of the word "Brain Police" and was inspired by Frank Zappa's song "Who Are The Brain Police?".
In 1999, lead singer Panta compiled a CD with his favorite Zappa tracks. It was released as Panta From Brain Police Meets Frank Zappa.
