Dieter Boé

Dieter Boé (May 22, 1936 - October 31, 1994) was a German painter and graphic artist. He debuted in 1967 as an advertising artist, specializing in packaging designs. In 1970, he was the creator of the cover of early European copies of Weasels Ripped My Flesh.
Interviewed on Finnish television (December 1970), Zappa was actually shown this bootleg cover and commented: "It certainly does look like a German album cover, doesn't it. (...) This... actually, in terms of graphics, it's not bad. The thing I resent most about this album cover is that it's not the way I wanted it to come out. (...) I don't need this one." [1]
