Cosmo Alley

As "advertised" in the artwork of Freak Out! under the header "Freak Out! Hot Spots"... Eventually became Bido Lido's.

Cosmo Alley was a small club in Hollywood. It was started in 1957 by Herb Cohen and Victor Maymudes. (They had previously run the Unicorn folk club on Sunset Blvd). Cosmo Allley was popular with young actors and musicians. Lenny Bruce and Lord Buckley would often perform there. By the early 1960's the club was in financial trouble and Cohen fled the US for a few years.
