Jim Fielder played bass, guitar, 12-string guitar for Zappa from the Fall of 1966 through February 1967, when he left to play bass for Buffalo Springfield, then went on to Blood, Sweat & Tears. Jim provided the above instrumentation for Absolutely Free.
