Simon McBurney (August 25, 1957) is a British actor, writer and theatre director. He founded the "Théâtre de Complicité" in England, now called "Complicite". Tv viewers might recognize him as Cecil the choirmaster in the British sitcom "The Vicar Of Dibley". Film fans could know him as Dr. Noyle in "The Manchurian Candidate" (2004), Stone in "The Last King Of Scotland" (2007), Garland in "Body Of Lies" (2008) and the voice of Kreacher in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1" (2010).

On July 15, 2012 he was a guest in the BBC radio show "Desert Island Discs", where celebrity guests can choose their favorite musical records to bring to a deserted island. He opened his interview by playing Zappa's "I'm The Slime", claiming he was one of several extraordinary musical voices who had always something to say and whom he discovered during the 1970s. He called Zappa "one of the voices that had something to say but made me laugh like a drain was Frank Zappa and this piece ["I'm The Slime"] is the most wonderful, slicing satirical song which could not be more apt right now."[1].
