Hiromi Uehara (March 26, 1979) is a Japanese jazz composer and pianist. She is known for her virtuosity and the way she combines different musical genres in her work, like jazz, progressive rock, fusion and classical music.

She names Frank Zappa as one of her inspirations. [1] In another interview she revealed that her dream gig would have been to play in Zappa's band, but "unfortunately he is dead." [2] [3]
