Originally formed by Doug Ingle, Ron Bushy, Jerry Penrod, Darryl DeLoach and Danny Weis in San Diego in 1966. They moved to Los Angeles and were discovered at the Whisky a Go-Go. They released their debut album "Heavy" in 1968. Only Ingle and Bushy remained for their second album In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.
