Bob Stone, a recording engineer responsible for mixing many 1970's disco hits, joined the Utility Muffin Research Kitchen staff in 1980. Since being kicked out of the house he had been renting from Gail Zappa, he had been living in his truck. He passed away in 2005 after a struggle with pancreatic cancer.
