Lorenz Hart (May 2, 1895 - November 22, 1943) was an American songwriter, who often collaborated with Richard Rodgers. Together they wrote many songs for Broadway musical and Hollywood film adaptations, several of which have become standards: Dancing on the Ceiling (1930), Isn't It Romantic? (1932), Blue Moon (1934), The Most Beautiful Girl in the World (1935), My Funny Valentine (1937), The Lady Is a Tramp (1937) and Have You Met Miss Jones? (1937).
