Hieronymus Bosch (1450- August 9, 1516) was a Dutch painter, known for his imaginative, sensational and often haunting depictions of Hell. Many of his works are filled with demons, monsters and people suffering eternal torment in the afterlife.
In 1967, Frank Zappa improvised with The Mothers Of Invention live on stage, a track later titled In Memoriam: Hieronymus Bosch.
Two characters from a Bosch painting were included by Cal Schenkel on the collage cover of We're Only In It For The Money (1968).[1]
