Cucamonga is a city in San Bernardino county in California, east of Los Angeles. In 1977 Alta Loma, Cucamonga, and Etiwanda merged into Rancho Cucamonga.

Frank Zappa worked in two studios in Cucamonga between 1960 and 1965: Pal Studio (1960-1964) and Studio Z (1964-1965).

Across the street was a Holy Roller Church, and up the Block from that was the grammar school." (the recording studio was of course Paul Buff's "Pal Recording Studio", later renamed as "Studio Z".)
Thanks to its connection with Zappa, Cucamonga inspired the Zappa tribute band Trio Cucamonga and Zjakki Willems' radio show Cucamonga.
