The Flying Lizards were a British experimental rock group, best known for their eccentric cover "Money" (1979).
Zappa played The Flying Lizards' version of Summertime Blues three times on three consecutive days as guest DJ on WPIX, New York (19, 20 and 21 November 1979). He played the song again during the Star Special on BBC Radio 1 in 1980.
