Lew Lewis was part of the Canvey Island/Southend Pub Rock scene in the mid 1970's.
He was a founding member of Eddie & the Hot Rods but left to form his own band releasing material on Stiff Records.
His track Caravan Man was played by FZ on Star Special, BBC Radio 1 in 1980.
He recent years Lewis has struggled with ill health.
