==Captain Beefheart==

Moon was a guitarist in the original 1965-1966 line-up of [[Captain Beefheart]]'s [[Magic Band]]. He left before the group recorded their debut album ''Safe As Milk'' (1967) and was replaced by [[Ry Cooder]].

In 1969, during the ''[[Trout Mask Replica]]'' sessions, Moon performed acoustic guitar during the track ''China Pig''.
