[[Chris Ducey]] formed The Penny Arkade with Craig Smith after they met at an audition for a TV series (which was not produced) which was supposed to rival [[The Monkees]]. Smith was a friend of [[Mike Nesmith]] who would produced their recordings for them. Smith would also write songs for [[The Monkees]].

[[Chris Ducey]] had recorded an album which was to be called "Songs Of Protest And Anti-Protest" with [[Marshall Lieb]] for Surrey Records. As [[Chris Ducey|Ducey]] was now signed with another label the album could not be released. [[Marshall Lieb|Lieb]] asked [[Bobby Jameson]] to re-write the album using the same title and song titles as they had already had the art work produced. [[Bobby Jameson|Jameson]]'s album was issued under the name [[Bobby Jameson|Chris Lucey]].
