'''Björk''' (November 21, 1965) is an influential Icelandic avant-garde pop/rock singer and composer. She already performed in bands like Tappi Tikarrass, Kukl and The Sugarcubes throughout the 1980s, before going solo. In the 1990s, she managed to appeal to both alternative rock fans and regular pop fans in the 1990s with hit songs like ''Human Behaviour'', ''Venus As A Boy'' , ''Big Time Sensuality'' (1993), ''Army of Me'', ''It's Oh So Quiet'', ''Hyperballad'', ''Isobel'' (1995), ''Hunter'', ''Jóga'', ''Bachelorette'', ''All Is Full Of Love'' (1997), ''Hidden Place'' and ''Pagan Poetry'' (2000). Björk also had a starring role in Lars von Trier's ''Dancer in the Dark'' (2000). She has continued to release experimental albums since.
